Gift Inspiration for Ski Moms
Updated: Jun 2
Even though the ski season is coming to an end, high quality outdoor gear is important to ski moms all year round. Show your active mom some love with some of our favorite gear and accessories. We cover little things like inexpensive, sports sunglasses, custom skis and poles, foot wear that will make mom feel like she is walking on clouds and a few items to look cute and comfy while braving the elements.
These items were independently chosen by The Avant Ski Contributors. Avant Ski LLC may earn a commission on purchases through these links.
The Little Things
Goodr sports sunglasses in fun colors. These glasses are comfortable, durable, polarized and don't slip or fog up when you break a sweat. They come in all colors and even have themes like Wonder Woman, Batman, marathons, and the Rolling Stones. Best news of all, they are only $25. Perfect for spring skiing along with running, biking, tennis and more.
Stay hydrated with the Klean Kanteen. Keep your wake-up beverage of choice in a 16oz Klean Kanteen. This TKWide insulated bottle with a leakproof Cafe Cap and Climate Lock™ insulation will keep your beverage hot for up to 14 hours, or icy up to 46 hours. The perfect companion for all activities, you will not want to leave home without it.
Yoga on the Go with Yogo. This foldable, grippy, ultralight mat is great at home, while traveling and outside. It is also created with sustainable materials. Yogo funds a food-bearing tree and agricultural training for a rural African family for every mat purchased.
Custom Soul Poles. Choose your grip, basket and tip color for these custom poles, hand made in Park City, Utah. You can even add custom engraving for $20. These poles are lighter and stronger than the Original model and have a removable basket so that they can transform into hiking poles - perfect for summer in the mountains. Sole Pole claims its poles are 25% stronger than aluminum poles...and they are sustainable! They also come with a one-year warranty.
Custom Skis. It’s never too early to start planning for next season, and springtime is always a good time to get a great deal on this year’s remaining inventory. Mom deserves a new pair of skis, and our friends at Allred Skis are running an unbelievable 25% off custom skis promotion through May 20th. For just $800, you can build a fully custom pair of skis, top sheet graphic and all! Owner Chad will walk you through the process, and deliver the perfect pair of skis.
Track Your Activities
Tracking Device. The Garmin Forerunner 645 can record all the details of your skiing based on movement and will automatically pause when you’re on a chairlift or take a break. This watch is an easy way to keep track of time on the mountain, distance traveled, maximum speed, average speed, and total vertical descent including a visual record in the form of a map of your day. This watch also tracks spring/summer activities including runs, hikes, outdoor bike rides, swimming and more.
Take Care of your Feet
CEP Compression Socks. Spring and summer adventures can involve long hours on your feet and a good pair of compression socks can be the perfect antidote. CEP's socks come in different lengths, but all of them improve blood circulation and are designed to prevent injury and speed recovery.
On Cloud X Shoes. We live in these shoes! They are great for running, cross-training, chasing children and will handily become your go-to sneaker. We love changing into them after a day on the slopes. On Cloud X's are ultra light and come in a variety of fun, spring colors. It really feels like you are walking on clouds.
OOFOS Recovery Sandals. Most ski moms will say their feet have been cramped in boots all winter. With the warmer weather, let your feet breath and recover by wearing comfortable, supportive sandals as much as possible. These are especially enjoyable after a long day on the trails. These sandals are designed with OOfoam technology that OOFOS says absorbs 37% more impact that traditional footwear.
