On Mountain Day Care

  • Program: Treehouse Kids Adventure Center

  • Location: Snowmass Base Village

  • Ages:  8 weeks - 4 years

  • Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Full Day)

                8:30 AM - 12:30 PM (Half Day)​​

  • Meals: snack & lunch (infants bring own food & formula)

  • Rest / Naps: as needed

  • Activities: age-dependent - music, art, outdoor play

  • Ski Option: Cubs on Skis (1 hour lesson for toddlers 2.5 years - 4 years that are not potty trained)

    • Limited availability, book well in advance

    • For 3 -4 year olds that are potty trained, Group Lessons for Kids (includes a 1 hour lesson) with a full day of activities are available

Private Lessons for Kids

Other Kids Activities 

Elk Camp / Ullr Nights

  • Winter amusement park; ride the Breathtaker Alpine Coaster - travel over 1 mile at speeds up to 28mph on this elevated track

  • Ullr Nights - Family fun every Friday evening from 5pm - 9pm (Dec-21-18 to Apr-5-19)

    • Snowmass honors Ullr, the Norse God of Snow, with a party, live music and play outdoors with tubing, snowbiking, the Coaster and s'mores; dinner available at Elk Camp and all can warm up indoors with more activities

Kids Terrain at Snowmass

  • Snowmass has more than 10 runs (between main trails) dedicated to kids (adults only allowed in the presence of a child) 

    • Trails feature thematic wooden cut-out figures​

S'mores

  • Free daily at Snowmass Base Village from 3:30 - 4:30pm; gather around the fire and roast s'mores

Ice Skating & Burgers @ CP Burger

  • Tasty burgers, salads, fries and milkshakes - CP Burger is fast food Aspen style and the kids can ice skating, before, during or after the meal

Group Lessons for Kids

AGES 2.5 - 3 - Cubs on Skis - Group Lesson

  • Group Size: 4 - 5 children per instructor

  • Structure: 1 hour ski lesson in the morning 

                     - Staff trained in early child education and will lead age       
                       appropriate indoor (in the Beaver Lodge) and outdoor activities

                     - Afternoon rest time

  • Location(s): Snowmass Base Village (Treehouse) or Buttermilk (The Hideout)

AGES 3 - 4 - Group Ski Lesson

  • Group Size: 4 - 5 children per instructor

  • Requirements: Potty trained

  • Structure: 1 hour ski lesson in the morning

                    - Staff trained in early child education and will lead age       
                      appropriate indoor (in the Bear Den) and outdoor activities

  • Lesson Focus: Use of games to encourage learning

  • Location(s): Snowmass Base Village (Treehouse) or Buttermilk (The Hideout)

AGES 7 - 12 - Group Ski or Snowboard Lesson

  • Group Size: 4 - 5 children per instructor

  • Lesson Focus: Skill adjusted, explore new skills, terrain and snow conditons

  • Fun Features: Race courses, pipes & parks

AGES 13 - 17 - TEEN - Group Ski or Snowboard Lesson

  • Group Size: up to [8] teens per group

  • Lesson Focus: Skill adjusted, from the basics, to cruising the groomers to coaching for pipe & park, bumps, carving, racing and freestyle

  • Location(s): Separate teen lessons available daily at Snowmass; Teens can join Child Lessons at Buttermilk; Teens Intermediate and up can join Child Lessons at Aspen Highlands

OTHER SPECIAL GROUP LESSONS - KIDS MOUNTAIN EXPLORERS, WOMEN'S EDGE

  • Kids Mountain Explorers is a 5 day camp (group size of up to 6) for intermediate and expert (Levels 5 and up) skiers and riders ages 8 - 12; available during select dates (Jan 7-11,  Jan14-18, Jan 21-25, Jan 28 - Feb 1, Mar 11-15, Mar18-22, Mar 25-29); $750 for 5 days of lessons and lunch with 7-day advanced purchase (+$50 walk-up, +$100 walk up peak); lift tickets and rentals are additional

  • Women's Edge is a 4 day program for intermediate and expert women (levels 5+); available Monday through Thursday, January 7 – March 14, 2019; $720 with 7-day advanced purchase (+$20 walk-up)

Aspen Snowmass has nearly 1,400 pros and offers tailored instruction for all levels. Coordinate the location of your lessons and day care with your lodging and ski plan. There are no lessons at Aspen (though children 5 and up can take the Moose Express to Buttermilk) and group lessons at Aspen Highlands are Intermediate and up only. 

On Mountain Day Care - Treehouse Kids Adventure Center

Mega activity center, modeled after the mountain environment has  two stories and 25,000 square feet of fun for kids of all ages. Highlights include a a climbing wall, fish acquarium and the second floor opens outside to magic carpet access
