Wiets Helle has lived and worked in five countries and skied in France, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Japan and the US. She has skied 29 different resorts. She currently lives in New York City with her family where she runs a startup, Eatiquette, focused on software development to create food label transparency.

Originally from the flattest country on earth (The Netherlands), she used to ski only once a year in the Alps. Since marrying a huge ski fan and ex-high school racer and having ski-aged children, she and her family have turned into weekend warriors. Traveling to Catskills and beyond for races. Four out of her five family members have joined the race program at Belleayre and the fifth is learning to be a ski instructor.
