APRéS SKI

The aprés at Snowbird, though limited, can be as difficult as it’s double black diamond runs! With a word of warning, know that many a Utah visitor has descended down into the depths of the infamous Tram Club with the misconception that you can’t get drunk on Utah’s weak beer. Let it be known that the Tram Club’s $5 special for a beer and a shot has taken down many a tourist. If you need to drive back down the canyon, it’s best to skip the Tram Club and just grab a quick beer on the Tram Plaza. You can purchase cheap beers for the plaza from General Gritts or the Snowbird Pharmacy, lovingly dubbed “The Pharm Bar” by locals.

The Aerie Lounge| Cliff Lodge,10th Floor

Relax, watch the sunset and catch some live music. "Cloud 10" is comfortable, the wine list is extensive and the bubbly, beers and cocktails, are pleasers. Despite being the “fanciest” spot at Snowbird, the crowd is friendly and laid back. The vibe is mix of corporate and chill. Consider staying for dinner, food is delicious too. We like the Utah trout and the bison burger. Utah laws do apply; draft beers have lower alcohol content and the cocktails are strictly measured.

Go no further than the deck as you return to the base of Snowbird. On a blue bird day, there is no better spot to have a drink and watch people come off the mountain. The deck regularly features live music from 2pm - 5pm (Fridays - Sundays) - see schedule. Many weekends also have special events like Subaru WinterFest. Grab a beer at the Bird Feeder, any bar in the Snowbird Center, or BYO.

Relax with Comfort Food

SeventyOne| Cliff Lodge,10th Floor

Snowbird's newest addition, this is the swankiest watering hole in Little Cottonwood Canyon. Inspired by a sexy, retro ski theme, SeventyOne harkens back to the golden era of skiing and glorifies ski culture in the era of Snowbird’s first season, 1971. This is also Snowbird’s best option for late-night dining, featuring and American grill and comfort cuisine. Relax in the tasteful lounge or on the patio with tiered seating and fire pits. A nearby game room stocked with vintage arcade games and foosball will keep the kids busy while you toss back a couple and recount the day.

Billiards, Beer & Pizza

A cozy setting featuring drinks, snacks and Italian cuisine. The atmosphere is inviting and its easy to grab a drink and lounge after a day on the slopes. If staying in the area, its worth coming for dinner. While you probably won't write home about the food, the pizzas and pastas are satisfying and reasonably priced.

General Gritts | Snowbird Center, Level 1 - then hot tub of your choice

This General Store has it all. Opening early and closing late, this is pretty much the go to spot for food, drinks and anything else you may need. It also operates a state of Utah liquor store, meaning it has a wider selection of beverages with regular alcohol content. All of the Snowbird Lodges have hot tubs, and its never a bad idea to grab a few drinks to enjoy in the hot tub.
