Passport Guide: Find Out Where 5th & 6th Graders Can Ski for Free*

Skiing is an expensive proposition, especially for families. But did you know that most states (with larger resorts) offer state programs for 5th and 6th graders to ski for free (*or a small processing fee). There is a perception that you need to be a state resident for many of these deals - but more often than not, that is not the case. Here is the inside scoop on statewide passport programs for the 2019-20 season. 

Utah

  • 5th graders: 3 days of skiing at each of Utah's 15 resorts - 45 days total. Cost: $45

  • 6th graders: 1 day of skiing at each of Utah's 15 resorts - 15 days total. Cost: $45

Access to all 15 Resorts in Utah Including:

  • Solitude

  • Sundance Resort

  • Woodward Park City

  • Park City

  • Powder Mountain

  • Snowbasin

Vermont

  • 5th graders: 3 days of skiing at 20 participating resorts - 60 days total (holiday blackout dates apply). Cost: $20 processing fee

  • Also includes 1-3 days of cross-country skiing at 27 Outdoor/Nordic Centers
